BASIC FLY FISHING CAMP, JUNE 12-14, 2023

MON-WED: 8:30 AM-2:30 PM

ENROLLMENT FEE: $400.00

MAXIMUM CLASS SIZE:10 STUDENTS: AGES 10+

Three-day basic fly fishing experience hosted by the Santa Lucia Fly Fishing Club. The class will include a 2-day Introduction to Freshwater Insects (entomology), Freshwater Fishes (ichthyology), Basic Fly Tying,  Fly Casting Techniques, and Watershed Ecology at the Creek Lands Conservation Offices in Arroyo Grande.  On the last day, students will be transported to a private ranch near Lake Nacimiento where they will be paired with a mentor for a catch and Release fly fishing experience, using flies they’ve tied themselves or ones supplied by their mentor.

**All fly fishing gear will be supplied by Delphinus School of Natural History; transportation cost included in the enrollment fee.
